Soft-jaw locking grips for pen disassembly

If you need to take a pen kit apart and you're going to use transfer punches to do it, you need a firm and secure method of holding the pen barrel or pen cap.

These locking grips work in the same way as traditional workshop locking pliers or so called mole grips. Set the width of the jaws with the knurled knob at the base of the handle, and these soft-jaw locking grips will securely hold a pen from just over 8mm diameter to more than 25mm diameter. In other words, they will work with all pens, from slimlines to the fattest fountain pens, without marking the pen.
