TBC adapter bushes for adapting any set of pen kit bushes for turning between centres.
Precision made in the UK from M3 stainless steel and featuring a spigot the same diameter as a pen mandrel along with 60-degree cone indents at the outer end, these TBC bushes can be used in conjunction with any set of pen kit bushes to adapt them for turning between centres on your lathe instead of using a pen mandrel.
Simply fit the kit bushes as normal, then insert the TBC bushes through the hole in the middle of the kit bushes. The whole assembly can then be mounted directly between a dead centre in your lathe headstock, and a live centre in your lathe tailstock
These TBC bushes can also be used directly in the tube of Slimline pens or other pen kits and project kits that use 7mm tubes, as the exterior part of the bush is the same diameter as the finished size of a Slimline.
As with all Beaufort bushes, these TBC bushes feature unique wear indicator grooves to give you an idea of when they need to be replaced and they are supplied in a telescopic component box for safekeeping and ease of storage.
2 bushes per set
NB. If using Beaufort kit bushes, you don't need to adapt them, as all our bushes already have cone indents for TBC turning, however, most other makes of kit bushes do not, so keep a set of TBC bushes handy in your workshop if you're turning other makes of pen kit
