Sadly it’s one of those immutable facts of life - things inevitably go up in price.

We try not to do it though. I realise that sounds a bit silly, since all businesses need to make a profit in order to remain in business, however, we’ve been around for 10 years now - yes, it’s our 10th birthday this year, and this will be only the second time we’ve increased the prices of our pen kits.

The first time was around 5 years ago, so we’ve done pretty well at absorbing the higher costs we’ve had to pay along the way, but sadly, necessity dictates that the time has come to do it once more.

I’m pretty certain that everyone understands the reasons and the need for price increases, and personally I get a bit fed up when people start explaining to me their justification for doing so. Even so, it needs to be said that although the sky-high inflation we've seen over the last two or three years has started to settle down a bit, costs in that time have risen alarmingly and continue to creep up, not least of all the cost of raw materials and the cost of transportation.

Having absorbed all of those increases up to now, we find that we can no longer ignore them, and therefore we need to follow suit and increase our own prices.

The slightly good news is that we're giving you a bit of warning.

Our pen kit prices will remain unchanged until 3rd June, which is after pay-day for a lot of people, so if you stock up before then, you will still be able to buy them at the today's prices.

So there’s the forward warning. The prices of all our pen kits will be increasing on 3rd June I’m afraid, therefore if you have a mind (and the funds) to do so, make hay while the sun shines.
