The cap finial and cap centre band have the same diameter. If using bushes, the two largest ones are identical and can be used in either cap position. The two remaining bushes have different diameters - the larger of the two is for the mechanism connector and the smaller one is for the section.
ASSEMBLY
Press the section into the nib barrel.
Press the cap connector into the nib barrel and screw on the centre band.
Line up the grain of the two barrels and lightly push the cap barrel onto the centre band by hand. With the centre band still lightly attached, unscrew the centre band and using the press, push it firmly home into the cap.
Important: Do not put pressure on the click button from your pen press. Instead, make a small block from scrap material and dill hole of about 7mm diameter through it, at the height of the centre line of your press. Use your block as a buffer on your press, insert the click button into the hole and the pressure will be exerted on the shoulder surrounding the button, not on the button itself.
The refill is accessed by unscrewing the cap from the nib barrel.
