Intermediate thread tap for Bock FP nib sections

• Intermediate tread tap for Bock size 5, 6 and 8 ready-made sections
• M2 HSS
• Thread size = 8.5 x 1.0
• Recommended drill size = 7.5mm

Drill the front end of your pen body to 7.5mm, and cut the 8.5mm thread according to your usual working method.

Please note though, that a 7.5.mm hole is too small to take all but plastic ink converters. If you wish to use a better quality converter, you will need to enlarge the hole after cutting the thread.

Cut the thread first then ream or drill it out to 8mm, which will then give you enough clearance. There is no load or stress on the thread once the section is screwed in, so enlarging the hole to this extent will not have any effect on its integrity.
